First Steps for ages 0-3

In Indiana, young children experiencing developmental delays typically receive services through the state's early intervention program, First Steps.

The Easterseals Rehabilitation Center is the largest First Steps provider in the Tri-State area. Indiana children from birth through their third birthday who are identified with developmental delays are generally eligible for First Steps services. Our credentialed therapists provide physical, occupational, developmental and speech therapy in the young child's natural environment (usually at home or day care). Therapy sessions involve the family and caregivers.

In addition to other First Steps therapies, we are the only provider of First Steps audiological services in the area. We provide comprehensive hearing testing, hearing aid fittings and follow-up at the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center.
